Thailand really lends itself to family group travel; it is safe and holds a huge variety of attractions and activities, offering choice for all ages. There is never a dull moment and a family holiday in Thailand promises to be highly memorable with new sights, sounds, tastes, customs and characters being just some of the features woven into your holiday tapestry.
Thailand in Style welcomes you and your family to Bangkok with a reception at the airport and private transport to your hotel. The acclimatization, especially for kids, is not to be underestimated; Bangkok is hot, busy and unfamiliar. Remember to take things in stages with regular stops and encourage plenty of water drinking during your Bangkok based activities, and there are many of them.
So having explored Bangkok; its cultural attractions, river activity, food and shopping, escape to the river for a memorable and special journey up-stream as you leave the hustle and bustle of Bangkok behind and slip sedately past river banks of banana trees and coconut palms, rice paddies and stunningly ornate temples. This cruise is just you, your family and a lovingly restored and converted teak rice barge. With a full crew you are on your way to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya sipping afternoon tea and evening cocktails atop teak clad decks.
Explore the historic ruins of Ayutthaya before being picked-up by car and taken to Bangkoks old airport which now serves as the domestic airport. From here you journey north by air to Chiang Mai to experience northern Thailand, its mountains, unique cuisine, culture, heritage and a morass of outward bound activities including trekking, elephant trekking, white water and bamboo rafting, mountain biking and much, much more.
From Chiang Mai, transfer by air to Phuket and onwards to meet your seaplane who is waiting to whisk you off to the tropical heaven of Koh Phi Phi. It is here that the film The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot and the scenery has to be seen to be believed. With snorkeling, diving and island hopping on your doorstep, it is guaranteed to be an unforgettable chapter of your family holiday.
From Koh Phi Phi you can transfer back to Phuket by Seaplane, private speedboat, or ferry before embarking on your return flight to Bangkok. Alternatively continue your journey by staying in Phuket for a while or transferring from Koh Phi Phi to Krabi where the tropical beach and island ideal continues. Please contact Thailand in Style for further information and onward itinerary ideas. |
