Samudra
A fabulously unique property located on a headland boasting unforgettable ocean views, Samudra, part of the exclusive Samui Villas and Homes Signature Collection, is a private five bedroom villa set within its own large, meandering tropical gardens. Ideal for escapists, simple luxuries such as ample space, panoramic vistas and a secluded beach only add to the exclusivity and privilege of staying here. The villa’s construction has been designed to blend with the natural surroundings of the hillside headland on which it lies, incorporating large granite rock formations, using plenty of wood and making the most of the breathtaking views. A stunning swimming pool overlooks the magnificence of the ocean whilst a little walkway down the hillside leads to a secluded sandy beach that feels like your own.
What makes the Samudra so unique, aside from its design and stunning location, is the exciting range of antiques and artwork that it contains. Much of the wood used in the design has been reclaimed and sourced throughout Asia, the most magnificent example of which are the eight extraordinary carved Balinese temple panels, transported from a century old building to form the back wall of the cosy ocean-view Lounge. Each suite is unique; from the large, spacious Octagonal Suite boasting a circular balcony, to the two doubles, the Family Suite and the wonderful Underground Suite, they have their own flavor and ambiance enhanced by antique furniture, unique fabrics, varying views, secluded locations and exciting bathrooms. Luxury at Samudra is natural, casual and relaxed.
Aside from the five bedrooms, the villa also features a kitchen, a thatched sala for outdoor dining and a peaceful beach sala where guests can serenely practice their yoga or embark on sea kayaking voyages in the bay. The pretty sand and boulder-strewn beach just below Samudra can only be reached from the villa so it feels completely private and is a wonderful place to soak up Samui’s tropical rays. Samudra is fully staffed, completely private and wonderfully secluded, however if you long for a little interaction the shops, sights and restaurants of Laen Set are only a short drive away.

The Signature Collection refers to villas carefully chosen for their stunning design, blissful comfort, range of facilities, stunning location and dedicated service. A minimum of three staff live on-site including an English-speaking manageress, whilst a full-time Thai chef prepares sumptuous meals.
