Amanpuri
The hotel that started the Aman legend and redefined the whole concept of boutique luxury accommodation. Many 'Me toos' have followed but none capture the spirit and style of this original property. Set on a peninsula above Pansea beach with its pavilions and villa accommodation and although opened in 1988, this hotel still leads the pack when it comes to pure, unpretentious luxury. The addition of a spa and a fleet of luxury boats and launches have kept Amanpuri at the top of Phuket’s offering of accommodation.
Outdoor salas, a king-size bed, separate bath and shower, refrigerator with minibar, electronic safe, stereo system, IDD services, air-conditioning and WiFi are just some of the more standard facilities that you will find in the Amanpuri's pavilions and villas. The Amanpuri is understated but deeply comfortable with locally inspired architecture featuring authentic multi-tiered roof lines, traditional Thai open-sided salas and private dining decks. Frangipani scent permeates the soft sea air as you walk along the elevated walkways that connect the residences, the long exotic slate-blue pool and other facilities at Amanpuri.
