Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle
Reached by river boat amid Thailand’s exotic bamboo jungles, where three countries meet, a one-of-a-kind experience for active adults awaits. 15 free-standing elegant safari-style tents, almost rigid structures, hang over a river in the wilds of northern Thailand overlooking Burma and some stunning river views. Spaced at a comfortable distance from each other to allow total privacy, the tents are built on elevated ground along a one-kilometre hillside trail overlooking the Ruak River, Burma, the mountains of Laos or the jungle and Golden Triangle. The vistas are stunning and dramatic.
The design of the tents is reminiscent of 19th-century adventure expeditions and explorations. Designed as an open space with a large outdoor deck, each tent, with either king or twin beds, features handcrafted and custom made furniture of which the centre-piece is undoubtedly the hand-hammered copper bath that stands resplendent in each tent.
